A few weeks ago, I decided to have my personal digital detox. It’s ironic that social media is part of my work, but I managed to find a way on how to handle business pages and accounts. My goal was to get rid of the “crap” that I consume and focus more on my projects.
What could be more inspiring than posting a list of New Year’s resolutions and plans for 2019 today? But I chose not to. I’d rather keep things for myself (and less social media for personal use) and build good habits at work and writing. krisettecapati@yahoo.com
One of my rituals, before I write, is read a few chapters of William Zinsser’s On Writing Well. It’s one of my non-negotiables before I start writing or whenever I feel stuck. Or to pump my creative juices. The book always reminds me to “dejargonize” industry terms. krisettecapati@yahoo.com
It’s Thursday morning, and it’s almost 3 AM. I’m back with my nocturnal mode when it comes to working and writing. Time flies fast and it’s already May. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to update my entries here. Let’s just say, “Life happened.” krisettecapati@yahoo.com

It’s been a while since I updated this blog. I missed writing—that freestyle kind of writing where I just do it for the sake of the craft to satisfy myself. I’ve had enough of SEO, keywords, and metatags (and followers). I’ll go for sincere, transparent, and conversational posts from now on krisettecapati@yahoo.com
Have you been playing the role of Jack? Jack-of-all-trades? I bet it must have been hard to keep up with all the projects for the first quarter of this year. As far as I’ve observed, January is all about momentum. For us writers, it’s the peak season because everyone’s back to business. January is a
“I have never felt so lonely in my life.” I thought about it three days ago while resting my eyes in the middle of my writing project. I felt it was a long and tedious day. I wasn’t effective (in writing with zeal and passion) compared a few weeks ago. What just happened? I was
